    Default 2011 Rooster Cruiser Update

My mower was originally built in the fall of 2009. It ran the 2010 season , well over 30 races on it. Plenty of time to find some things I did not like and want to rectify!
with less than 3 weeks to go until my first Sta-Bil Lawn & Garden Series Race, It is back down to bare chassis for some up-dates and changes.

After some chassis mods, and actually 1 race on it it is time for new paint and final assembly.

Here is the frame fresh out of paint...How about we go Jet Black this year....that will make this thing one Cool Ride!

I have to thank my boss for allowing me to use the companies brand new Paint booth to spray in, with its bake cycle this thing was sprayed and dry in about 30 minutes!

    Going ...well?
Took a win in Texas, went to Ga and had tranny issues and...get this...Seat issues!
I tried a new seat this year and...I FAILED! I could hardly stay in it! So for day2 in Ga I changed seats.
The new ISKY Cam is great, so great in fact,m I cannot seem to keep a tranny together! Broke a tranny in hotlaps, got it fixed by the feature, but had to start in the rear! With a short race I got as far through the pack as I could.

Good news is, it is a fast piece!

    Lol...I dunno?
Rules require the use of a "shiftable lawnmower transmission".

If I break another one I am going to put my own gears in it..I AM a machinist, lol!

    Here it is...almost finished, lol!
Racers never do get "finished"...if your really seriouse about your racing. There is always some handling issues or something you want to improve upon. I am still looking to have the grill chromed, which I am normally against heavy, plated parts on my racers, but that thing is just too sweet to not make pertiful!
As for other aesthetics all that is really left is to do something with that seat, and install the new Grant GT wheel on it. I have all the parts for a new quick adjust front end, just need the time to get it done.
