    Default Preakness stakes today

Well its the second round of the Triple Crown and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon for Nyquist to win again(undefeated) in 8 starts and win the Triple Crown this year. There are a few horses in this race that might challenge him. I was looking at the 8-1 odds. I will watch this horse Stradivari the youngest horse in todays field who raced lightly but won two of his three races by over 11 lengths and another by 14 1/2 lengths. Don't know what his competition was but thats mighty good to win like that. They say its going to be raining so hopefully Nyquist will get beat.

With Jocky John Velazquez mounted on Stradivari its a good match to try to overhaul Nyquist

Rick, I like watching these races. Sometimes a horse comes out of nowhere to gather in the spotlight, and then disappear. Ruining a good chance for a super horse to win the Triple Crown. Happens often when they bring up a horse especially to try and ruin one for Nyquist. These upstart horses are special made to turn an upset. They are no match for a Triple Crown themselves but get the energy up for this one race. Hopefully Stradivari will do Nyquist in.

What a race. Exaggerator is a very fine 1st place horse now. He stayed out of running in the back moved up quicker and took it. Take nothing from Nyquist he is a good horse too. Stradiveri did well came in up with the leaders in 4th. Just not quite enough experience with better horses.

I agree they are all great horses and brought in to do one thing and that is to knock off the favorite, but its a shame that Nyquist could not get a win and move on for the Triple Crown designation, but he gave Exaggerator a run for his money.

Rick if a horse could win the Triple Crown that easy it wouldn't be such a big deal. This was a great field of horses to take on Nyquist. He still has a super 8-1 record. It took Exaggerator 5 trips against him to win so that says something in itself. Here is a video of the Preakness ran in the rain and mud.
