    Default Another garage project...

I've had this Vornado fan for quite a few years, it was black from the factory, I put a set of flames on it years ago, decided to strip it down and start over. I found out it's made of aluminum, so I changed direction and decided to polish it....took a couple days using a brush on paint stripper, and about 4 hours polishing....

Looks great and better than new! Like back when things were made to last "new".

    Thanks everyone!
My current project is a drive-in speaker set-up. I have 2 1960's speakers and speaker holder, just about finished polishing these pieces, then I need to find a post to mount them to, I'm using a disc brake rotor for the base. I'll post pics later.

Finished the drive-in speaker stand. Once I got the speakers apart, one of them had an original manufacturer date of March 1959 inside, pretty cool!
I used a metal fence post and a disc brake rotor for the stand.
