    Default Ignition switch adjustments

I am having trouble with the ignition switch on the El Camino. When I start the engine, the switch doesn't return to the run position. The engine is running and the starter is not engaged. Some of the lights are on until I physically turn the switch back to the run position. I know there's a switch on the bottom of the steering column. How do I make the proper adjustment to the switch to correct this problem?

I forgot to mention that this is a floor shift column.
