What's in store for you this weekend? Some say the weekend starts Friday @ 5 PM. When you're retired everyday is Friday 5 PM -

Anyway, what's on this weekend's list for the CRO guys/gals?

    I'll start - ...

Oil and filter change on the '75.
Continue prepping the door jambs for primer/paint.

    hey you, stay awake ...

Pull the passenger wheels and bead blast them for paint -driver side already done.

Then it should actually be 5 PM.

Pulling old engine and robbing the parts I need from it (intake, pully's, water pump and valve covers) put those parts on the new engine and rework some of the engine compartment, reroute clutch cable, oh and take a look at the braking system, I think it's just the lines coming off the master cylinder, ok that's Saturday's work....Sunday I'm gonna try and get some paint on the engine compartment and Monday (sorry it's still my weekend) shoehorn the new engine in!
Oh almost forgot...still gotta go to DJ'ing job and make some money to spend, but thats only 4 hours each day.

Stopped in to see WTF up with my GTO. He's had it since Monday. Health issue had em in the hospital overnight. Exhaust is done to perfection. He said he tried to call me back, and needed to know where to position my chrome tips before finishing. Hopes to get it done tomorrow. Attended the daughters company picnic at the Detroit Zoo. Band, food, drinks, BEER. Partying with animals!!!! Literally. Choppin N pullin out some small tree's N bushes. Trimming and other yardwork that will not be possable after Monday. I'm done for today. Still have tomorrow, but have a "stragler" open house in the afternoon. REALLY wanted to drive the GTO there.
Always keep em smokin,,,,then let er drift!

Well, it's now Sunday and I can re cap my accomplishments of yesterday ---

Prepped the driver door jamb ...

ran baseball drills with my son's team at the High School ...
    power washed the driveway ...

Things don't always go according to plan. It was a great day.

Yeah things went slower than expected, I did get the old engine out, (it did NOT want to come out) and most everything transfered over to the new engine, parts store is killing my plans, having to wait on parts is slowing/stopping me, made some markings of where to cut in the engine bay prior to pulling the old engine so I can at least burn up some cutting wheels, got asked to come in on Thursdays at DJ'ing job now so that cuts down on car time just a tiny bit, gotta go clean the blood off my hands and get some rest, 40+ year old steel will still cut the crap out of ya!
