Tips for preventing a dead battery

Your car was made to be driven, and, like a new pair of shoes, you need to break it in to make sure that it can comfortably handle the elements in times of need. If your ride spends more time sitting in the garage than on the concrete, it won’t be ready to perform when you need it to. Read more...

    Cool

I agree with the trickle charger...

I have trickle chargers on my lawn mowers, my Hot Rod and on my truck...

I have a deep cycle battery in the truck because of the plow... It does die faster when sitting, unlike a regular battery...

I find with my truck if it sits for a few weeks in the cold it drains to the point that the truck will not start... So I put the charger on it and it starts every time... That only happens in the winter...

I also use Optima battery's in every thing, they work great and you don't get that battery junk seeping on every thing... Plus you can mount the battery how ever you want to, upside down, sideways...
