In my area it would be:

O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine Nationals Springfield, MO - Sept. 28-29, 2013

Mid-America Street Rod Nationals Springfield MO - 3d weekend in May annually
I may not do it all right, but I'll do it myself the best I can - THATS HOT RODDING!

Hey that's me driving the 67 Vette over the auction block. A part of me misses driving around town with the top down listening to that 427 rumbling off the pavement.

Anyway ... to keep on topic. Arizona Route 66 Fun Run is a large rolling car show. www.azrt66.com

Anywhere between 600 to 1200 cars rolling down 157 miles of continuous Route 66 in Arizona. The event starts Friday night with a block party and Miss Route 66 pageant. The run starts Saturday morning in Seligman Arizona and goes to Kingman Arizona. There are little towns along the way to stop at and relive days of yeaster year. Once you get to Kingman the city blocks off all of the down town historic district area for a car show. Sunday morning there is a pancake breakfast then at 10 am everybody hops back into their cars and continue on Route 66. Along the way there is a little (Ghost town) mining town called Oatman. They have have cow boy gun fight re enactments every hour in the middle of the street. There are still wild burrows that roam the streets that are descendants from the working mules back in the 1800's when the town was a booming mining town. After Oatman you continue on Route 66 and head to Topoc/Golden Shores on the California/Arizona border for the awards at the town center.

Check out the website. People come from all over the world to participate in this run.

Get your kicks on Route 66!

Every year, the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona invites you to participate in the "Annual Route 66 Fun Run." First held in 1988, the Fun Run has attracted people from all over the U.S. and many foreign countries.

Barrett- Jackson asks you if you want to drive your own car across the block. If you do then you can until the hammer falls. Then it's no longer your car and you have to get out.

I went to Barrett- Jackson with 3 cars last year. A 1929 Model A delivery, 1967 Corvette Sting Ray, and a 1970 AAR Cuda. A friend in town wanted them sold. Her husband passed away in 2006 and I have been taking care of the 3 cars for her.
