    Default Camaro

My wife is thinking about getting a Camaro once we give our DD to our son. Not sure if we'll go the new-car route or get (certified) used from a GM dealer- yeah, we'll pay more, but I like the warranty cushion. But I've had decent luck buying privately so that's in the equation, also.

What are the experiences and/or stories, good and bad, regarding the 2010, and 2011, and (slight maybe) 2012 model years? With the exception of my recent '03 purchase, I've been out of the car buying world since '02. This is my first attempt at looking into the Camaro.

    Thanks a lot.

Go check out a new one. List all options, engine, trans N creature comforts. Then look for the car you would have ordered. Most dealers are networked and can find what your lookin for at another dealership, if they don't have everything you want. Now you have the salesman on the hook. If he's offering a lesser car, "Its not what I'm lookin for, you would have to start knockin down that price" if you expect me to settle for something less.
Always keep em smokin,,,,then let er drift!

I haven't owned one, but I have been in one.

I LOVE the looks of the car from the outside. I also LOVE the "sitting in a tub" feeling of classic muscle cars. I've also waited and watched this car come to life since it's concept drawings (much like I did with the Dodge Magnum, and went and leased one as soon as they were available). Now that they are real and here, I doubt I will ever one of the new body style (much to my sadness) . The "mail slot" windows restrict way too much vision and are simply too small for my comfort. Different strokes for different folks though and I wish you the best of luck on your new purchase.
