Default Yes, this will heat a 2 car garage.

I'm posting this as PSA/review in case anyone else has been wondering how well these work.

I've debated on buying this unit for the last couple of years. I do too much fun stuff in my garage to want a gas heater. It seems as though this one is as big as I can find without bumping up another couple hundred dollars and getting one from an industrial distributer. This thing is just so small that I was weary of the investment ($199) not netting acceptable results. So much so that I've continued to use my salamander for heat for the last few winters. The wife hates it. It doesn't really bother me, but it is noisy a hell and kerosene isn't getting any cheaper! This year she said she'd had enough and told me to go this for my christmas present and give it a shot, so I did. I must say that I'm uber impressed. The garage is 24x24 (insulated) and with it being in the 20's outside, this unit is will heat the garage to a toasty 75-80 degrees within 20-30 minutes (with about a 5-10 degree drop a couple feet off the floor). It's also quiet! I foresee no issues being able to maintain 50's even at winters worst. Not sure yet what the operating cost is going to be, but I know that last year I was spending roughly $120 a month on kerosene. I wish I would have given it a try sooner.

That's awesome! Would be curious how much the juice costs to keep it going all month long.

I personally need to find myself a good generator for emergencies! Any suggestions? The only things we need to power is a heater, the fridge, a few lights and our two 100-gallon fish tanks.

I use a 3500 propane salamander. 20lb tank last 9-10 hrs @ 12.00 to refill. Takes hours in my non insulated garage to hit 45-50. Much colder on the floor where I spent last winter workin on the GTO.
Always keep em smokin,,,,then let er drift!

    Great info!
I am all electric, and have been looking for something for my garage for a couple of years. Was hoping to stay under $500...this is exactly what I have been looking for!
