Default Fellow wrench turners, this is your thread. What did you do to your ride today?

I tinted the windows on the Wrangler. I did it when we bought it new, but after 11 years, it was fading. I pulled the old stuff off, and put new 20% on. Took about 5 hours.

    What did you do today?

If it was put on right, you use a razor blade to get under and raise one corner, then pull the corner back at a 45 degree angle. The tint should come off in one giant sheet. Then use goo-gone with a razor blade to remove the glue. Not too tough really. After one has done it a couple times, it can be done within 15-20 minutes per window.

Takin my time N basicly 1 arm. Removed my rims and installed the new chrome wheel trim. Laid everything out to install my used rocker chrome N found the rear clips are wrong. Dug throught boxes of spare GTO parts N found the Lemans (donor car) clips I removed. They are different, but spent rest of day cleanin/restoring/paintin and slight rebending to make them work. Hope to get it all together. Scared this stuff will get bent or damaged. Then I can take it all apart for body/paint work. Will it ever end????

When I worked at the dealer, we used to sell a lot of these. Always had plenty in stock.

Started changing the front hub bearing assemblies on my wifes 03 S-10 4X4.
Going to town shortly to get oil and filters to change oil in my 06 Silverado 4X4, Wifes 08 HHR and her S-10 4X4. ABS and park brake lights came on awhile back and the abs motor would keep running on the S-10. I thought no big deal it just won't have abs. Checked it out and GM has had a problem with the abs ecm and that is what the problem is. The ecm is around $1000 and I decided I was not going to pay that and then have it programmed. Well come to find the 4X4 electrical goes thru the abs ecm and if the ecm goes bad it disables 4 wheel drive. Just my luck!!
