    Default Thankz

Big Brown truck Justa delivered more product N a matching COOLRIDES shirt for Moma. My driver always has to check out the progress on the GTO. Found me under the dash rewiring my ignition switch. Was already to fire it this AM, but turned the key N nothin. Traced the prob to the block connection on the eng/comp side of fuse box. While that did restore some of my electrical probs, wasn't the starting prob. Had bought a used ign/switch and while it was a 6 pole the wiring didn't match original. Hate pullin wiring out of factory connectors! Have the starter workin off the key. Tracing down positions of the rest. For those who don't know. This is a resto from gutted racecar. Not a single wire was left in the car. Everything was cut or ripped out. A hot toggle N starter toggle was all I had to start with. I have spent soooo much time making my own harnesses right down to the dash lights. Have gotten lucky N found some missing sockets/bulbs @ swap meets and a front to rear ribbon to wire the back lights. ADVICE....Justa go painless N spend the $$. The resulting HAIR loss was not worth it!

If winning was easy, then the losers would be winners.

There is a reason there is a full PAINLESS harness in my truck. I rewired our old 66 Mustang a few years ago and didn't use Painless. I feel your pain.

This thing has fought me every step of the way. Wouldn't expect anything less. LOL Had the great idea to pressure test the 45 year old heater core before installing all my new carpet N padding. Held for a couple of minutes then a drip turned into a stream outside N then the inner core burst fillin my floorpan by the time I got the hose shut off. Notice the heater hose delete option in the pic? can LOL now. Not as funny yesterday!

    Default The fight continues!

Car fires right off with a lil gas dumped in the carb. BUT can't get gas through the system. Then the starter won't engauge anymore and JUSTA grinds. Installed shims today = workin perfect. Used a hand pump to get gas to the fuel pump. Still no gas to the carbs. Killed the battery. Fuel pump is bad. Of course nobody has one on a shelf. Its ordered N should arrive tomorrow. Plenty to do restoring interior parts for the rest of the day.

Thinkin its the proportioning valve. Something about using a clamp to hold the pressure switch down while bleedin the brakes???. = tomorrow. Would be fitting to drive it for the 1st time on my Bday!
