    Friday - July 1st … Nitro Antique Car Club (celebrating 50 years) Cruise-In; on the Putnam County Bank parking lot next to McDonald’s in Hurricane, WV; 5:00 PM - DUSK; no entry fee; games; door prizes; music; concessions provided by the Buffalo Church of the Nazarene (proceeds to benefit their mission programs); come see a running car assembled from a pile of parts in 30 minutes; for more information call 304-755-7814 or 304-755-4187

    Update from tonight's Cruise-In. The car was assembled from a pile of parts to a running, driving vehicle in 8 minutes and 49 seconds. Not bad for the third time that we ever did it! We will try to beat that time at next month's Cruise-In.

    No, actually I'm President of the club and serve as "official DJ" at our Cruise-In's. I did a running narration as the build progressed to let the public know what was going on and the difficulties involved in certain portions of the build. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the show. FWIW, I did have some "hands-on" at the 2 practice sessions to get a feel for the process. It's not as easy as those guys make it look!
